Happy New Year from the Alamo City.
Ready and waiting for some bigger bowls here in a few hours.
The Rose and Sugar should be dandies, after Northwestern and Penn State win early.
The Gator Bowl ... who knows? I'm picking the team with Noel Devine on its roster.

Interesting Leach interview running throughout morning.
Heard a piece of it and he categorizes Craig James as a meddling father who required more time from coaches than all other parents in program.

Aubie's keeping NWestern at bay. 21-7 at half.

Meanwhile, in Orlando, LSU and Joe Pa State appear to be playing on the remains of a well-worn horse-racing turf track.

I want Patrick Robinson on the Steelers next year.

    Wow

  7. Terrific catch-and-run by the Northwestern kid to tie the Outback Bowl. Terrible tackling by Auburn.

Northwestern's Kafka has thrown five interceptions today. Positively Keenum-esque.

So Kafka has transformed into the stinky quarterback today, huh?

  11. Two of them in the red zone. Northwestern is outplaying Auburn.

Wanted to post this earlier, but didn't get around to it. The unintentionally funny/awkward moment of the day came when the blind, USC fan/kid was the guest picker on College Game Day. Not once, but twice, Fowler asked him "How do you see this game?"

"Frankly Chris, not well at all."

Later, when Corso put his Oregon Ducks mascot head on, he put his hand out for the boy to shake. The boy snubbed him completely.
