Tressel just bought himself 5 more years.

 

Nice to see Citi is not wasting money on new commercials.

 

Well, damn. Ohio State's a better team than I thought going in. Their defense kept the Ducks out of their rhythm the whole game.

Bummer to lose, but if you told me after the Boise State game that the Ducks would be in the Rose Bowl, I would have thought you were high.

 

More than anything, I think that shows that bowl records are almost totally meaningless.

 

Ohio State would be crazy to get rid of him.

 

Buckdubs, I feel your pain. I consider Ohio State versus The Taliban to be an intrasquad scrimmage. But I am so sick of hearing bleatings about how awful the Big Ten is that I rooted for Ohio State today. Between Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin (and to a lesser extent, Northwestern), the Big Ten acquitted itself rather nicely.

 

Tressel was secure as long as he kept beating Michigan. As long as the team is reasonably good and beats Michigan, the Ohio State football coach is usually in good shape.

Tressel's teams are consistently good and he's 8-1 against Michigan, plus he won a national championship.

 

Best part for me?? Ohio State is a VERY young team. Pryor isn't great, yet.....but the difference between the Pryor of the 09 Fiesta & the Pryor of the '10 Rose is incredible. Should be a great couple of years ahead for OSU

 

I'm trying to remember how Vince Young looked as a soph, and I think it was close to what Pryor is right now.

 

I don't know if Pryor will put it all together. But the Wisconsin fanboi in me is absolutely terrified that he will.

 

There are, at least a few, posters around here who I always think are high - and they didn't even have to tell me Oregon was going to the rose bowl to achieve that.......
