Too bad for East Carolina. Just too freaking bad. Nice comeback, Hogs.

Ryan Mallett named Liberty Bowl MVP? Arkansas media not covering themselves in glory with that wonderful pick. He was turrible, and the offense went 0-for-13 on third down. Plus, dressing like he was participating in the Iditarod should have disqualified him from consideration.

I found it strange that Holtz went against conventional mojo and was over talking to the kid before the would-be game-winner, rather than just leaving the kid alone like most coaches would.
Have heard a lot of coaches say the last thing they would do is talk to a kicker about to kick a kick like that -- instead, just leave him be.

about 100 miles southwest so "nowhere near" is a bit of a stretch.

It has always been tough to evaluate quarterbacks, long before the spread offenses became so popular. Sometimes a guy has all of the physical tools and the great mechanics but he still stinks in the pros.

Somebody compared Tebow's mechanics to those of Byron Leftwich. If that is true, he might not be so bad. I thought his release was even slower. Is his arm as strong as Leftwich's?

I wouldn't go so far as to refer to Eastern Illinois University as higher education.

How the hell does a team commit six turnovers in one quarter? How is that possible?

No, I said Cincinnati played a bad game. They aren't as good as Florida, but they are much better than they played.

    Period.

But regardless of that, that one game isn't a referendum on the Big East - or any other conference.

    Ok, then.

Really - I've said that bowl losses prove the SEC sucks?

Or did I say the ridiculous way fanboys of conferences - particularly the SEC -- skew the results of bowl games to suit their argument is a joke and a fraud and then make fun of you by putting together lists of the rules according to SEC fanboys when it comes to interpreting bowl games?

    That's what I thought.

It's much better to be a team without it's coach than to be a team without a dozen or so players.
