I don't think Nutt seriously considered going to KU so much as he used the KU situation as leverage for a pay raise.

I thought it was because Snead is coming back for his senior year.

do marching band directors EVER get tired of doing Blues Brothers themed shows? Crissakes

  5. I hate that the BCS is on Fox. Hate, hate, hate, hate, hate it. Hate it. After a year watching guys who live and breathe college football analyze it like Herbstreit, I have to listen to Jimmy Johnson, who probably last watched a college game (other than scouting) in 1988, and a bunch of other NFL guys fake their way through the week.

Agree - everything about it is bad. ESPN has us all spoiled. One thing they do very well .

Anyone know the story behind the name of the Boise State Marching Band? They've got some guy's name in front of "Blue Wave." A sponsor?

So far, the only team that has shown it has no business in the BCS is Fox's production team. The director must have the shakes.

Interesting team picture showing Patterson a coach when Peterson was playing at UC Davis. The head coach that year? Mike Bellotti.

    Keith Stein.

Donated $250K in 1986 to revive the music department and the marching band after an 11-year hiatus.

was going to say there's no such thing as too many shots of college cheerleaders but c'mon, at least wait until the play (the fumble) is over.

The TCU cheerleaders aren't the marquee attraction
It's the TCU pom squad that's getting all the pub.

The rugby-style running punt is apparently popular again. Eastern Illinois did it for a few years with a lot of success until teams figured out how to defend it.

FOX can be thanked for its occasional gratuitous MILF shots, too.
