I saw a KISS concert - in 1977. Cow Palace in San Francisco.

The only silver lining to this is that Kirby Smart takes it in his smug ass.

Good for Notre Dame. They're really good and Freeman will be coaching on Sundays soon.

Byes go 0-4. I know Boise State and ASU weren't exactly considered world beaters, but a little surprised one of the four didn't win.

So Brian Kelly - who left Notre Dame because he did not see a way to win a national title there - watches his old defensive coordinator replace him, come into his new state, take down the champion of his new conference, advance to the semifinals and even get a Louisiana trooper escort.

The NCAA hoops equivalent is all the 2 seeds advance to the Final Four. Not exactly chalk but I'll take it.

I’m a little surprised we’re not seeing Oregon advance. The SEC weren’t world beaters this year and Georgia was good but not blow you away good.

    Semis will be good.

The weird little gold numbers on the bracket graphic threw me off (“None of those teams advanced!”) until I looked back and saw one for Clemson too. Which drives home that conference champs went 0-5 in this tournament. Can’t wait to hear that chewed over for the next 11 months.

Considering three of those had to win their conference championship game just to get in, I don't think there's a lot of meat on that bone.
