Seriously, if we're going to act like SMU is getting screwed if they're not in the playoff, there are clearly too many goddamn teams making the playoff.

What good is all your oil money and blow good for if you don’t know how to bribe people, SMU?

Committee also said that losing a conference championship game should not drop a team below a team that did not even play in a 13th game.

I'd actually be okay with the Big 10 and the SEC getting a guaranteed fourth team in - as long as they replaced their conference championship games with 4-5 "play-in games" for the fourth slot. The games were mostly great yesterday, but I'd rather see the borderline teams have to play their way in, then "locks" potentially play their way out.
    My slotting.

SMU's in, two losses by a total of six points? And their schedule is very similar to Notre Dames. Is Notre Dame guaranteed a hosting a first-round game?

That was said when they were sweating the possibility of Georgia catching a third loss. Who we fooling?

A charity case but perhaps a dangerous one.

Seeing Saban in a suit and tie just looks wrong. Just saying.

I can't wait for the inevitable Notre Dame playoff letdown. Should I get wildy drunk or just drive my car into a bridge abutment?
