Anybody want to guess which sport leads in missed class time?

 

I'd say something like soccer

 

My guess would be baseball given the amount of three-game series and midweek games.

 

Good guess. The answer — as of a few years ago — is a sport with few home games.

 

I never understood why they didn't make that retroactive. It's only one game to add to everybody's stats, and it's a high-profile game there should be a very reliable statistical record for. It shouldn't take too much effort for each school's SID or athletic department to do the research and add them to the historical record.

 

Golf?

 

Something like cross country, track, golf, or wrestling, then.

 

One unforeseen effect of the expanded playoff is we have three different threads going on college football and no natural home for general news of the sport.

Speaking of the unexpected, eligibility rules may be going the way of the dodo.
