I’ve always said that 16 is the magic number.
    No byes.
    4 quads.
ESPN won’t do it because it’s not TV friendly. From a football standpoint, it makes the most sense.
    Thursday, you’re running into NFL
    Sunday, you’re running into NFL

    The ACC is so bad.
The top two teams in the conference have been prison fucked through six quarters.
    4 teams or 24 teams.
Not one worth a pound of shit.

I just can’t fathom anyone watching these playoffs and thinking “you know what would really make this better? Add four teams that are shittier than SMU, Indiana and Clemson.”

Yeah, we didn't hear anything about "undeserving teams" and "lopsided routs" when MWC Utah destroyed Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. The narrative then was Alabama was so disappointed about losing the SAEC title game to Florida that it checked out.

Didn't even Utah's prison rape of Big East-champion Pitt.

There are not many FBS prospects in that region, and no FBS teams. So the best regional players all stay home and get scholarships, instead of walking on someplace.

It'll be 2067 and we'll still be beating the Utah-Alabama and Boise State-Oklahoma dead horses.

If Boise's QB doesn't throw two pick-6s, the Broncos have an excellent chance to cover or even win. PSU was hardly an offensive juggernaut for much of that game and needed a bogus UC penalty to extend one scoring drive.

Maybe because it's still the truth?

Alabama lost to freaking Oklahoma. Couldn't even score a TD. It lost to Vandy and its NMSU quarterback. Tough to prove they'd have done better at PSU after stepping on their dicks like that.

They are dead horses, but they are historically important because they made it harder for the establishment to exclude the Group of 5.

Bama probably wouldn't have lost 38-10 at Happy Valley. But SMU earned their spot. Bama didn't.

If the Milrow who showed up in Norman reappeared in Happy Valley, it might have been worse.

I am not arguing in favor of Alabama… but what did SMU do to earn their spot?
