Okay, game can end right now with this score.

EDIT: C-USA officials? Yeesh. High school refs couldn't have blown that call, but these guys could.

    Or maybe they do.

So far it's not working out that way. And why wouldn't the Seminoles be comfortable in chilly conditions? Right now it's 37 degrees in Tallahassee.

Yikes, this game has gotten away from UCLA quickly. One of the rare times I pull for the Bruins and they just collapse.

I'm actually surprised to see FSU clicking on most, if not all, cylinders like this. Not that I'm going to turn down the result.

The winds aren't 20 mph in Tallahassee, plus the last time I checked FSU doesn't play games there in late December. And I said if UCLA played like they cared, they'd win. They didn't - FSU got a turnover at their 25 to set up their first TD and get a confidence building early lead as well as a blocked punt and an INT for a TD. That UCLA sloppiness is what you get when you've spent the last three weeks feeling a little too good about yourself.

Why is the Emerald Bowl played at PacBell (or whatever the nom de jour is now) instead of Candlestick, which is the place I refuse to recognize by its current name? Is it simply because of they couldn't fill it for a meaningless bowl?

Today's bowl winners are ... OK State, Rutgers and the mighty, might Cal Bears.

I believe it's been at Pac Bell Park-SBC Park-AT&T Park since the bowl's inception in 2002. I think.

It did look silly, watching that game in a baseball park. I was waiting on the camera to pan to McCovey Cove, thinking maybe one of Weatherford's passes had sailed out there.

The turnover at the 25 was setup after FSU turned the ball over deep in UCLA territory. If UCLA played like they didn't care, why did they jump out to a 20-10 lead? UCLA cared, they just got beat.

Pac-10 is 0-3 in bowl games for far, being outscored 123-59. Nice start.
