  1. At the time, wasn't Louisville in Conference USA?

Wow, you must be from Idaho if you go with the Vandals comment. Love it. I love how BSU fans think the only people who hate BSU are Vandals fans. I am not a Vandal. I am from Washington and now live across the country. Never lived in Moscow and have nothing to do with it. In fact, I have never even been to Moscow. Beautiful. I feel like I am working at my old piece of shit paper. Thanks for that. It is funny.

Though little was actually on the line, last year's USC-Notre Dame game might have been better than this Boise State win. No trickery, just two storied teams going at it in one of the hallowed stadiums in college football.

I kind of liked the trickery for the WTF factor in tonight's game. I agree with you about USC-Notre Dame, though.

You are correct. I would put that game above this one as well, because it was phenomenal when Leinart hit Jarrett on the sideline. And, there actually was stuff on the line. A win kept USC after its third consecutive title.

I'm not anti-trickery. That BSU display was excellent.

But I really enjoy games where the two teams are just trading blows. Heck, for a half, the Rose Bowl today was like that, with both defenses absolutely punching the offenses in the face. Great passion for a game that all the wonks said no one wanted to play in.

No one but the SEC diehards may catch this, but Arkansas lost to USC, LSU, Florida and Wisconsin. All four, assuming Florida wins would be ranked in the top 5. With it going
Florida, LSU, Boise, USC and Wisconsin.
And throwing out the blowout by USC, the average margin in the other three losses was six points even.
And no matter the outcome of LSU-Notre Dame and OSU-Florida, all four teams will be ranked in the final top 10.
