Wonder ... was he still gonna propose if the Broncos had lost?

I hate that some of those 1940s Army, Red Blaik-led games weren't televised. Just from reading about them in Lombardi's biography, you'd think they could be some of the Best. Games. Ever.

Last year's Texas-USC Rose Bowl was, in my mind, the best overall game. Vince Young is a freakin' stud. Last night's game was the best 4th Quarter/OT display ever.

No way the Smurf-turfers -- even in WHitlock's skewed voting -- should be ranked behind Wisconsin...
Wisconsin's schedule was softer than BSU's -- especially after beating Oklahoma...

You can't look at Boise State's schedule without looking at the fact that most of the teams in the top 25 would prefer to get an easy win over Idaho rather than take a chance on getting their asses kicked by a team their boosters look down their noses at.

Stupid question, but would ESPN ever make an "Instant Classic" of a game that aired on another network? Would Fox allow it?

I don't care who does it, but someone needs to air that baby again between now and the title game.

Going into the New Year's Day, Boise State had one win against teams currently ranked in the top 25. Wisconsin had none. Just saying.

Since I didn't see the proposal can someone tell me what Myers did?

After interviewing Johnson, Myers said something like, "Oh, yes, now you're going to propose to your girlfriend..."

Yeah, and not only did the cheerleader look shocked, Johnson, I thought, looked a bit taken aback that Myers just blurted that out.

Any chance we can lobby Fox to broadcast OSU-UF with crowd mikes only? That might be the worst game commentary I've ever heard.

They did it last year with the USC-Fresno State shootout. That game was on FSN, though, not the mothership. I wouldn't be surprised if this gets re-aired on FSN. And it'll probably end up on ESPN Classic at some point. They have old CBS games on there all the time.

As a side note, someone else pointed the horrible announcing job in this game. Couldn't agree more. When, oh when, will networks that are new to college football realize that most of their viewers are not? The little things, like pointing out the rules differences 17 times in a quarter, drive me nuts.

As long as there are suits in charge who need to be told the difference, we'll be told rules difference again and again and again...
