They better not. I want them to at least put a scare into BU.

Oh, and is there ANY chance Ben Roethlisberger shows up to his Miami play for a national championship? That would be great if he did make an appearance to see his old school.

Yeah, nothing says excitement like a Jackie Parker title.

Don't forget, the Hobey Baker winner is announced tonight - one thing's certain, it's going to be a Hockey East-er.

You are not hallucinating. Top four seeds got byes to the regional finals while 5 through 12 played that first round. In the meantime, I liked how the Frozen Four this year featured two No. 4s and a No. 3, even if it means the parade in Boston will follow the usual route.

Miami's only hope is for Big Ben to lace 'em up and patrol/hand out business on the blue line. Still rooting for my parents' and sister's alma mater. Go 'Skins!

And Matt Gilroy wins the Hobey Baker ... good story, one of eight children, will probably be very, very wealthy in the next few weeks ...

The Leafs are one of the front-runners to land him, and I hope they do. And I hope he indeed becomes very rich. His is a wonderful story.

Nice article in the Times about Harvard's 1989 national championship team:

This was one of the craziest sporting events I'd ever been too. Colorado College defeated Vermont in double overtime that day with the ice covered in water. They put a patch on the cooling system and intended to fix it between semifinal games (BU and Michigan played the other game). They thought if they turned off the cooling system after two periods of the first game that there it would stay cold enough to keep the ice good the rest of the game. Of course, then it went to one overtime and then another. The problem not only delayed the second game (the ESPN guys were pissed!) but, if memory serves, they went to the outdoor rules for the first period and had the teams change ends halfway through the first period because the ice wasn't set up all the way through. It was fine for the second and third periods, though.

Millan looks sharper tonight, fortunately. He gave up a couple of bad goals Thursday.
Update: 1-0 BU. Connolly pounces on a loose puck in the slot.
    Pink ties don't make it.

Miami's physical game is very impressive. BU got "a good bounce."

The U from Ohio really needed to convert on one of those three power plays in the first period.
BU just needs to avoid a lape like they had against Vermont...oops.
Dang, Kieran, you needed to control that puck. This is playing just like Thursday night.

Miami just hit the post to Millan's right - I thought that was going to be reviewed ...
