Thorne and Melrose are the top guns for ESPN, I think.

Thorne's great. One of the best. I'm not a big fan of Melrose.

A bit of a threadjack here but I would really like to see a game/series between the NCAA and CIS champions.

A three out of five would be a helluva tournament but I know it will never happen

My heart goes out to those Miami kids.

They're never going to feel right about that game.

Yup. They had it in the bag.

They shouldn't. They punted a two-goal lead in the final minute because they couldn't clear the puck.
ANd it sucks because I would have loved to see Miami win.

BU is too good of a team to not go down fighting. They are a team that if the opponent makes a mistake, they will capitalize.

BU went just about undefeated after Christmas - save for a loss to Providence in early January and a 6-3 loss to Maine in the Hockey East quarterfinals - were top five in the nation in several statistical categories, had one of the best defenses in the country ...

The running joke in Hockey East is that BU is the 31st NHL team.

BU should have lost this one. Miami folded.
Sad part about it is, Jack Parker wins another title.

I don't know if Miami folded -- Zach Cohen's goal that made it 3-2 was a seeing-eye backhanded shot that found the tiny hole on the goalie's short side. It was an incredible finish.

I will say, though, that BU definitely made its last three games interesting. I can't recall any team that scored game-winning (or tying) goals via defensive deflections in three consecutive games.

Still, though, I'll celebrate this championship. Congrats Jack and the Terriers!

I was banking on that money to buy a new BU jersey! :D

They actually let me go to school there, and occasionally I did just that, so I feel I have to root for them.

Just turned on the replay intime to see Mercier hit the post just into the second period... Miami screwed the pooch...

When it hit 3-1, I thought of the Duluth-Princeton game, and the '91 final, when BU blew a three-goal lead against Northern Michigan and then tied it with three late goals.
As for that OT, I've been there too, Miami fans.
If we're discussing greatest college hockey games ever, the '09 and '91 finals are a good place to start. Maybe throw in the '95 Maine-Michigan semi, too.
