Awesome season for Cornell, but the team's been around for 40 years and has many winning seasons, just not so many in recent years. It is far and away Cornell's best season since women's hockey became an NCAA sport, though.

I'm an NMU guy that bought my ticket a year ago with the only thought of going to watch some puck. I'm driving 5 hours just to go...so I bet there will be a good group like me there as well.

I was thinking about going to Fort Wayne this weekend until I saw the ticket prices ... $30/pop for the nosebleeds. For a regional, that seems steep.

Food for thought: the Frozen Four has been sold out almost every year for more than a decade - save for 1999 when Maine, New Hampshire, Boston College and Michigan State played in Anaheim, Calif. - and has been sold out in a few non-traditional hockey locations (Washington, St. Louis, Columbus). St. Louis set a single-game attendance record AND a national championship game attendance record when Michigan State beat Boston College.

crimsonace, is that ticket for one game, two or admission to all three games?

$30? I've paid more at Worcester.
Usually, you can buy single-session tickets for the regionals. The Frozen Four tickets are usually packaged for all three sessions.

My apologies - I was going by what the broadcasters said (which I should have questioned since they kept referring to "sudden victory overtime" - made me want to throw something.)

I paid $35 a ticket to go to a regional in Amherst a few years ago - admission was for both games.

The first-round doubleheader is usually on the same ticket.

And No. 15 RIT beats No. 2 Denver 2-1 in a first-round game in Albany. It's a new kind of madness.

Watched Northern Michigan-St. Cloud State on 360 last night ... my ISP does not get along with the idea of streaming video. Good thing BC-Alaska is on TV today. The Nanooks have finally figured out how to put shots on BC goalie John Muse.

Caught RIT-Denver and St. Cloud-Northern Michigan. Good stuff.
