And BC wins 5-3 on Cam Atkinson's goal with less than six minutes left in the game. NCAA Tournament field officially announced tomorrow - but the PairWise pretty much tells you everything with the conclusion of Notre Dame-Denver tonight.

CCHA Commissioner (and my old boss) Tom Anastos named Spartan coach.

Apparently this all came together super-quickly, despite Rick Comley's retirement announcement during the season.

A guy who hasn't coached in nearly 20 years? I just want to know ... why????

    Oh, he's coached....his kid's team. Yeah...this will go well.
With no commish and no B1G 10 teams, the CCHA might as well just be renamed Atlantic Hockey West.
I'm sure all will be fine, but there will be a lot of things that the CCHA will have to do.
    1) Make sure the Catholics and Miami don't leave...those are the "premier" schools in the league now.
    2) Establish an agreement with the WCHA and B1G 10 that old rivarlies can stay intact
    3) Move the CCHA championships to Grand Rapids or make it a rotating host among schools.
    4) Find a 9th and 10th school (Mercyhurst, UAH, RIT...not a lot of pretty options, but if BG takes a nose dive again...do they really want a 7-team league in the future?)

Catholics are probably going to join with other Catholics in the east.

The Heartland Version of the Frozen Four's set - Michigan, North Dakota, Minnesota-Duluth and Notre Dame. Yep, St. Paul's a pretty central location.

The Sioux seem to be peaking. Did not expect them to blow out DU.
