Sucks. Baltimore has OWNED Willie the past 2 years...never had more than 30 YPG last season. This 43 yard game looks like an explosion by comparison.

What luck I have. I drafted Ronnie Brown, Shaun Alexander, Cadillac Williams and Deuce McAllister. All out. Picked up Wynn the week he became the starter. Out. Even with Brady and Moss, I've fallen from 5-1 to 5-4. Still first in my league in points, but I'm left with Earnest Graham and Jesse Chatman as my backs.

I had Parker, Miller and Stover playing against the first-place team last night, while he had no one left. I lost by nine points, and am now a game behind the leader.

Lineup questions for next week that will make me feel better about myself if enough people agree with what I'm thinking:

RBs: Can start two out of SJax (unfortunately took him at No. 2 overall in the draft this year), Lynch and Jacobs. Figuring on starting Lynch and Jacobs.

WRs: Can start three out of Steve Smith (killing me), Roy Williams, Santonio Holmes and Fitzgerald. Would like to have the stones to bench Smith but not sure Wiliams at this point offers much of an upside. Have already slotted Holmes and Fitz as starters.

Finally, crazy idea to start Seattle D over Giants D, since the Hawks play the Niners on Monday Night?

    Thanks...

  6. I need a bye-week fill in for Ben Watson at tight end. I'm trying to decide between Eric Johnson of the Saints and Greg Olsen of the Bears. They have pretty similar stats. Obviously, the Saints have a better offense, but I'm thinking Johnson could get lost in the shuffle of their weapons and wind up producing nothing. Of course, that's what will happen if I pick him. If I go with Olsen I'm sure he and the Bears offense will get shut out against the Raiders while Johnson will catch 3 TDs in the Saints romp over the Rams. Help!

I'm considering the same defensive options and considering the same crazy idea. But I also want to trust that the better defense will create points.

In my other league, would I be nuts to pick up the New Orleans defense to replace Baltimore (mind you, it's a scoring-only league. I get points for int/fumble/kickoff/punt returns and shutouts)?
    Saints remaining schedule:

    v. Rams
    at Texans
    at Panthers
    v. Bucs
    at Falcons
    v. Cardinals
    v. Eagles
    at Bears

    Left for Baltimore:
    v. Bengals
    v. Browns
    at Chargers
    v. Patriots
    v. Colts
    at Dolphins
    at Seahawks
    v. Steelers

I know, I know. That completely contradicts my previous statement about the Giants D over Seattle.

Rumor that's gaining steam as fact, shoud be confirmed today:

LJ out for season. Broken foot. Priest/Kolby Smith owners start your engines...

Go with Olsen. Johnson has been a waste of a draft pick for me.. I cut him several weeks ago.

One warning: Olsen has OAK this weekend and they cover TE's better than just about anyone. They held Gates and Gonzo scoreless/under 60 yards. I'm not saying that Olsen isn't a better start than EJ -- I think he is -- but don't expect 90 yds and a TD against the Raiders.

  11. Given who they're both playing, which one would you start THIS WEEK only? It's a bye-week fil-in for Ben Watson, who, as part of the Pats offense, has somewhat spoiled me.

  12. Ok, just checked my league's waiver wire, and Vernon Davis just became available. I know the 49ers offense stinks. Believe me, I know because my 1st pick was Frank bleepin' Gore. But I just thought I'd add the possibility of Davis to the mix.
