Wayne still had a hell of a game. No chance you'll come out ahead there with his yardage?

Oh, I'll probably win in spite of Manning's failures in one of the leagues. But Adrian Peterson and the rest of the crew totally cornholed me in my other league. Peyton needed to play out of his mind anyway, but there was a chance for me to win. That is, until Manning's first pick ... then his second ... then his third ... then ... ah, fuck it. I'd rather not waste my time with the rest of the list.

  3. This is my first year doing fantasy football and I'm learning that it can be frustrating and aggrevating, but it can also sometimes work out funny.

All this week I frettted over who to pick up to fill in for Ben Watson - Vernon Davis, Greg Olsen or Eric Johnson. I also wondered what I should do at RB with Earnest Graham on a bye and Frank Gore questionable - which 2 should I start Preist Holmes, Selvin Young or Gore. And finally, which 3 should I start at WR - Chris Henry, Boldin, Shaun McDonald, Roddy White or Deion Branch?

I wound up starting Olsen (0 points); Gore (TBD) and Holmes (7) and Boldin (2), Henry (9) and Branch (TBD). So, of course, Henry starts and scores 20 and White scores 5. And my Saints defense gets crushed by the Rams to net 0 points.

But Brett Favre bailed me out by scoring 37 points and SINGLE-HANDEDLY outscoring my opponent's lineup of Philip Rivers, Chad Johnson, Donald Driver, Joe Jurevicius, Joseph Addai, Marion Barber, John Casey, Tony Gonzalez and the Tennessee defense. So right now I'm leading 58-37 with Gore and Branch still to play.

That's what I like about fantasy sports. No matter what you do, it's a crapshoot anyway. I had a better overall team going into this week, and I'll end up losing by at least 25 points at the last whistle tomorrow.

Right now I'm trailing this week in both leagues I'm in.
In both leagues, my opponent is done, while I've got Matt Hasselback going tonight.
In one league I just need him to go for 100+ yards, 2 TDs and 0 Ints to pull out the win.
In the other I need him to go 300+ yards, 4 TDs and 0 Ints. to get the win.
Looks like I'll win one and lose the other.

Tim might have a better shot at throwing four touchdowns in one game this season.

Especially because Branch is out again tonight. Though Alexander is out as well, so the Seahawks might get a little pass happy tonight.

    Did you win either?

Won one and lost the other by 15 points (at 6pts. perTD and 1pt. for every 30yds. he fell quite a bit short to make up for a horrendous off-week by the rest of my team)

Is that the league in which you cheated?

All I needed was Darrell Jackson to have 25 yards receiving and I would be in third place in a league. He had four. My luck rocks!

TSP, I'd hold your fire there. As I wrote earlier on the other thread, consider the source of information. That whole thing sounds fishy.
