  1. besides trying to get in on the action? talk to the commish about it and put a hold on trades? or extend the trade period?

Generally, I'm the commissioner, so I veto the deal and it doesn't go any further than a tease. But you've got two options: Take the high road, veto the deal and hope everyone follows suit; or try to rob the guy blind. However, if this is a pre-meditated deal, you probably have no shot.

  3. I know it's kind of early for this normally, but this week with the Thanksgiving games ...

My WRs choices are Boldin, Chris Henry, Roddy White, Deion Branch and Shaun McDonald. Which 3 should I play? I have to ask earlier than normal because, of course, McDonald plays tomorrow. I'm thinking yes on Boldin and Henry and trying to decide between Branch and McDonald.

    Thoughts?

Bolden, Henry & McDonald. White is facing the Colts, whose defense isn't all that great, but Manning will see a lot of time on the field. Branch is coming off an injury, so to me, that automatically DQ's him in my book.

And this is the REAL reason why I'm a jackass: I forgot to switch Santonio Holmes for Greg Jennings.

As commish, can't you retroactively put him in the lineup?

    That blows.

Different league, plus, that would be actual cheating instead of perceived.

EDIT -- OK, I just went all out in a different league. Someone is (stupidly) dangling Moss & "The Souldjah" Winslow, even though she's in the playoffs. One guy offered Jones-Drew, Witten & Driver for the pair. Is this enough: Cribbs, Steve Smith, Reggie Bush, Tony Gonzalez & Jeff Garcia? I figure if someone is willing to trade away the second-best FFB player of the year and one of the three best TEs, you gotta step up, right?

Holy shit, she rejected that offer. And this is a league that counts return yards. Would have made a killing with Cribbs.

Having Brady, Moss and Chad Johnson on your team means jack squat when said team has the following running backs on the roster:

    Deuce McAllister
    Cadillac Williams
    Ronnie Brown
    DeShawn Wynn
    Shaun Alexander
    Jesse Chatman

I'm down to Earnest Graham and Ladell Betts if Chatman's neck is that bad. Went from 6-2 and first place in my league to 6-6 with a must-win next week in order to make the playoffs.

I started 6-0 in one league and have promptly lost six straight -- including the first four by a combined 20 points -- and am now fighting for the final playoff spot. I've also fallen from 6-1 to 8-4 in another. Don't get me started on my third league. My retarded sister would be better off managing that team.

All in all, I blame Larry Johnson and Peyton Manning.

My team keeps finding ways to win thanks to Tom Brady, but damn Peterson and Lynch's injuries are hurting me.

I started Chatman two weeks ago, Morris last week and was luckily able to pick up the alternate Adrian Peterson this morning.

So, if alternate Adrian Peterson is decent, I should be OK going into the playoffs.
