NEWSFLASH: According to BYH, it was expendable who conceived the "JD is a loon" theory: http://www.sportsjournalists.com/forum/posts/1054328/.

    Then he called my "Agnes."

So Rowdy daydreamed JD and Turk bought him at a garage sale when they were in college?

I'm bored at my friends' house, and I'm watching the same four episodes. I never tire of this show, and that's rare. I watched the latest episode twice. Now I'm watching My Hero for the second time, and I'm sure My Last Day is airing next.

You can accept that Rowdy daydreamed the whole show, but that's the snippet you can't wrap your mind around?

And on a show where they routinely go out of their way to come up with outrageous bits, I think it would be a pretty sweet curveball.

I jumped on the wagon a bit late. Who is rowdy?

Yeah, that's right. Rowdy's got very little to do with the show, especially in the last couple seasons. Aside from episodes where he's lost or found or used to scare Carla or get their neighbor to laugh, he's rarely used. And he's not even in some of those scenes; that's Stephen ("Don't ask me how I know.").

He's the dead, stuffed dog in JD and Turk's old apartment. They bought him, already dead and stuffed, at a garage sale in college.

Ah ok. I know who it is now. I forgot his name was rowdy.

It happens. At least you don't know his replacements' name. You're not that desperate, I guess.

The "Don't ask me how I know" fantasy was flat out brilliant.

What fantasy is that? I was referring to when Carla and The Janitor brought both dogs together and showed JD and Turk. They decided on who gets what dog. JD said, "I'll take Stephen. We've gotten to know each other pretty well." Or something like that. Then he feels his nether regions and says, "That's Stephen. Don't ask me how I know."
