Running final season--seasons?--of Scrubs thread

As usual, I watched the Scrubs episode a couple days late. ...

I liked it a lot. It wasn't my favorite episode, but it was different, and in a good way. The transitions were awesome: The way the hospital room flipped into place when Elliot sat down was pretty cool. And I liked the ending, where Jordan was listening to the story outside of Jack's room and asked if the girl got her liver. Cox said, "Let's just say that's how I'll tell it." Awesome. It's just like Bill Lawrence to get everyone to think one way and totally go the other.

I don't think this would be a great permanent change, but for something every seven years or so, I think it's fine.

My only negative critique is that most of the storylines kind of dropped off without any resolution.

I did not like or enjoy this show in any way (sans the whole Turk grabbing Carla's boob thing), but I applaud the crew for trying something different. Good for them.

    this is all true.

I'd drink poisoned Kool-Aid if bill told me to.

I'd at least think about it.

I think BYH's post nailed it. Pretty clearly, this episode was aired out of order--much like all of the show's final season on NBC. Kelso was back as Chief of Medicine? Keith, who had been MIA since the breakup, trying to win The Lovely Ms. Reed back?

I think the greater concern is how are they going to put this together on a somewhat-coherant DVD? When the new season comes out on DVD, we'll find out once and for all if this is in fact an instance where things were moved around (though we all pretty much know it now anyways).

That's not a concern to me. They'll put this one in the first half of the season, no doubt. Problem solved. And there will be tons of bonus features, one of which will include an explanation from Lawrence and Braff about the struggles the show and its crew endured under NBC's hands. And if there's not a special clip on it, you can bet your butt it'll be on the commentary, which I will watch at least once. I'll report on it when I hear it.

Anyone else desperate for ABC to release it's fall schedule at the upfronts this week?

As long as Scrubs is on it, yes.

    I'd say that's a decent sign.

I'll believe it when I see it. Also, if it's not brought back, that was BY FAR the worst series finale I've ever seen for a show that got more than six seasons.
