We're discussing the inactions of the president, which is spotlighted by recent violent events.

Based on what MSNBC's Al Sharpton said today, it would not be a problem
for any of us to walk into our local convenience store, grab a box of
Swisher Sweets and walk out. If confronted by the clerk, put him in a choke
hold and slam him into the counter and leave.

If stopped by the police it's ok to resist arrest like Eric Garner did when the NYPD
put him in a ............. choke hold.

Not even close to relevant. You must have ripped your arm out of the socket with that reach. You are just a troll pissing all over board policy, as usual.

It's closer to "OK" than "makes your killing justified."

Maybe there should be a thread devoted to such discussions.

    Go ahead and start it.

Notice: three bannable violations within one multi-quoted post. :D :D

Thanks for posting that. Not familiar with that guy but I enjoyed the piece.

Dude's right by a million. If cops don't have cameras in their cars and it is more than a one-man show, they're up to something shady.

If I find the story again, I'll link it, but the data shows dashboard cams drop all manner of police hijinks.

To take it one step further, cops, all law enforcement officers, should be required to wear lapel cameras.

The technology is there, just a matter of making it happen.

I thought this* was a pretty thoughtful take on the robbery element of this story:

    1) Why the robbery might be of legal import in a case against Wilson:

    2) Why it shouldn't matter in the broader sense:

I read somewhere Ferguson PD has two dashcams bought with grant money, but they haven't been installed due to cost.

"Tell them to remove the damn tanks," Mr. Holder told his deputies on Thursday, according to a law-enforcement official, referring to heavily armored vehicles the local police had used.

LOL Of course you wouldn't be familiar with Mark Steyn.

I swear, for folks who claim to be intellectually curious, liberals live in a fucking bubble.
