Mary Case, the St. Louis County Medical Examiner did the first autopsy.

    She is well respected.

Michael Baden, who conducted the second autopsy, said in a radio interview today that she is a good and respected pathologist.

And, it appears their findings are consistent.

    A third autopsy is pending:

OK, he probably didn't get shot in the back.

But as you comfort yourself with the idea that Big Mike's friend is a shithead who is lying about what he saw, just try not to think too hard about the thousands and thousands of shithead eyewitnesses, suddenly as reliable as an HD camera, that the heroic corps of ex-h.s. football players of America use to put guys away every day.

To narrow it, too -- in this case we're talking about a police department that has somehow pulled off the trick of being 94 percent white in a town that's 70 percent black, and whose recent past includes an account of un-punished brutality and corruption that should outrage anyone who likes justice. And after their displays in the last week, so many people still want to take their word for it.

The 500-year-olf ME was handpicked by the family, and their lawyers, and he didn't do the autopsy alone:

Parcells also spoke at today's press conference.

People are sent away on bad evidence in America. I acknowledge that.

The remedy for this is not to send away a cop for murder to make up for that fact.

That will not be justice for Michael Brown's family.

And, it will not help matters any more than a jury letting off OJ Simpson for murder helped things.

How frequently is that discussed on screech radio?

    Not true:

Not true. There will be one more autopsy.

    I'll take that bet.

There is no evidence that the St. Louis County Medical Examiner's office is politicized. The ME is well respected, and the first two autopsies are consistent.

The only issue where there may be differences is where they are counting the number of shots that hit Brown. Because some bullets entered the body more than once, Baden is saying at least six shots his Brown.

The County might say something like up to eight shots. These two statements may be different, but they would not be inconsistent, as they are trying to err on the side of caution.

"In his system" does not necessarily mean he was high at the time of the incident. He could have smoked out the day before and been stone-cold sober.

    I listen to NPR Dick.

Have you made it through a single Rush Limbaugh show, or Michael Medved Show, or Hugh Hewitt Show?

Were you familiar with that Mark Steyn "dude" before yesterday?

I don't live in a bubble, and I don't know what "screech radio" is. I'm surprised to see you stealing Starman's material.

    I didn't say otherwise.

The LA Times profile described Michael Brown with only a few characteristics. Heavyset and quiet. Liked rap music. Smoked marijuana.

    That's about it:

If smoking marijuana is on the short list of things that come up in a brief description of you, you might be a frequent user.

Sustained marijuana use, especially in teenagers, does permanent damage.

You can be "stone-cold sober", and still have diminished decision making making abilities.

Marijuana damages the brains of teenagers. It's all so funny, but it's true.

It's not a shot at you. Just the general character assassination of Big Mike's friend that is brewing - like some here saying he "lied." Cops use these "thugs" and such daily to lock people away and throw away the key. Daily.

Don't you also assume that Big Mike, having just robbed a store, and roughed up a clerk, and now getting approached by a cop, probably had adrenaline pumping too?

And, all accounts seem to point to some kind of confrontation at the car before the shooting.

They were both worked up, and Brown was now looking at being arrested, having already entered into an altercation with the cop.

He sure didn't want the store clerk to stop him. Was he willing to let Wilson take him in?
