    Let's see:

He left Minny for Boston, where they had a pretty stacked lineup. He hits in front of some guy named Ramirez--who is also going to the Hall of Fame--and had guys in front of him get on base.

Runners on base. Power hitters behind him. In a good home run hitters park.

I think I can explain the other years! And I'm not a Red Sox fanboy!

Why the hell don't you send Lofton there. I know you don't want to get an out at home plate, but still you gotta take that chance.

Bigger blame is on Casey Blake for the GIDP on the first pitch of the ensuing at-bat. God-awful at-bat. You have to find a way to get that run home. And the following inning, he boots a ball and stands there watching like an idiot as Lofton runs from left-center field to pick it up.

Agreed on not sending Lofton. The coach might've been influenced by Lofton's earlier mistake (caught trying to go for two) and the fact there was only one out (looking for a big inning) but in retrospect I'm sure he's kicking himself. In a split second that's a tough call, but you've got to be aggressive down a run, IMO.

A definite game-changer. Ensuing double play really swung the momentum back in Boston's favour.

I feel for you man. I told my dad earlier I am glad I am not an Indians fan tonight because I would be pretty bitter after that game. Just remember, TSP, Go Rockies!

Great perfomance by Oki & Paps tonight: 4 solid innings.

Dice-K looked great the 3 innings, 4th/5th wasn't too good but he finished 5 innings of work, which he hadn't done the first two post-season starts.

Lofton got jobbed on that call at second, so I have a hard time calling that a 'mistake.' Of course, he got justice by getting to second on his next AB thanks to the drop by Lugo (only to be stranded).

I feel like Charley Lupica, The Flagpole Sitter. I was looking forward to blowing up my blog when the Indians won the World Series. (What was I thinking??) Now I'm stuck up here for lord knows how long.
