    Also Steve DeShazo in Fredericksburg, a hometown guy who was synonymous with sports in that market. During his decades as sports editor there, the paper punched way above its weight.

    I saw a Lee e-paper the other day (the Bryan/College Station Journal) and, apologies to anyone working on it, but it was very much in why-bother territory. No local news stories, one local sports story, just a bunch of random AP stuff.
