Nope, looks like it might be something with his legs. Maybe groin related. He waved to the dugout before he was even finished with his follow-through. Didn't take them long to get him out of there. Hopefully it is something minor and he was smart to throw in the towel immediately, rather than trying to tough it out and doing further damage.

How often does the guy who makes a great play in the field to end an inning lead off the next inning? Aaron Rowand saves the Phils in the bottom of the 10th with an outstanding catch, then nearly jacks one out to lead off the 11th. He settles for a double.

Glad to see the Phils got a scoreless inning out of Brett Myers already. And my goodness is Antonio Alfonseca large!

OK, so I guess Rowand didn't actually lead off. But Cole Hamels pinch-hits for Fatfonseca and takes a five-pitch walk.

God, with the impotent offenses of the Phillies and Nationals, they may play all night.

Charlie Manuel fucks up AGAIN! Apparently earlier in the game the Nationals sent up Michael Restovich to pinch-hit. The Phils made a pitching change, and the Nats then sent Robert Fick up to pinch-hit for Restovich.

But not so fast! Players are not officially into the game until they are announced as in the game. And the Phils changed the pitcher before Restovich was announced as in the game. So now in the 11th inning the Nats still have a player available who should have been burnt up for nothing in the seventh inning.

Meanwhile, the Phils are using pitchers to pinch-hit.

And Restovich delivers a two-out single in the 11th. Charlie Manuel, please pick up the white courtesy phone.

I really needed that after the Thrashers' debacle.

Zambrano battled tonight, but the Cubs are in trouble if he doesn't pitch better than he has so far this season.

Watching the Phils and Nats on MLB.tv is like watching old people fuck.

    Rollins 0-6
    Utley 0-5
    Howard 0-5

Not that I'm bitter or anything.

Jesus Christ, Ryan Howard just grounded weakly into the shift, and the Nats turn a 4-5-3 double play. Zimmerman made a nifty turn at second, and the Phils look like they're already playing for next year.
