    That's how they're built, really.

[blue]Jorge Julio as the Marlins' closer is obviously a great choice. Good deal by Florida.

Yeah, it was a quick comeback. But I can't stand the Sox announcers, so I have to take that game in small doses.

Zeke, your explanation helped me understand your point about Gardenhire and the Twins. But as you pointed out, sending the kids to the minors might not be the manager's call. Anyway, they know Garza is going to be good so I wouldn't mind seeing him up, but they may feel strongly about a bit more seasoning before throwing him out there. Have patience.

And Chris, the more I look at your Condi Rice picture the more I like her. Am I alone in that thought?

Don't look now, but Toronto is making a comeback of it's own, 7-run 8th with a man in sco-po.

Threat over, for now. Inning ends with a pop out and fly out by Thomas and Glaus.

    10-9.

The pic is a PhotoShop job. I doubt those legs are even hers.

Onto baseball... Now that the Nationals won a game, does this mean they will bo 1-161?

Innings like this are the only way the Jays are going stay in a race for the East.

They have a good shot to tie it, or lead, in the ninth. Todd Jones is on in relief.

EDIT: Jones is a friggin' rollercoaster. Pop-out, base hit, walk. Two on, one out. If you're a Tiger fan, pray for Jones' retirement.

Barely, as usual. That guy has more self-induced, two-on and bases-loaded saves than anyone in MLB history.

Clearly, you are unfamiliar with the Rod Beck era.
