Hammer Pants's over/under lines for Ted Lilly's Cubs debut tonight.

    Innings pitched: 5 1/3
    Hits: 9
    Earned runs: 5

    I hate the world.

Angels sweep the Rangers to open the season.
So far, the offense looks very solid. Gary Matthews has been excellent so far, not only defensively, but he's finding ways to get on base. And, anyone who has watched Vlad Guerrero and Garret Anderson for any length of time know they're both clutch RBI men. Also, Kotchman has gotten off to a solid start at 1B. It's looking more and more like last season was a mono-induced abberration for Kotchman. If he and Kendrick continue to produce at the plate, the Angels definitely have the starting pitching and the 'pen to eventually challenge for a title.
    I know it's only 3-0, but it's a helluva lot better than 1-2 or 0-3.

Late to the dance, as usual.

Kaz Sasaki duck foots it in from the left field pen, sweating sake from every pore, and proceeds to split hitters to death, with a couple of walks thrown in on a regular basis. Then he was done in by an errant suitcase and an ornery set of stairs...so they said.

Aaron Harang looked like a Cy Young candidate on opening day.
Bronson Arroyo looks like a Cy Young candidate through three tonight.
Maybe the Cubs' offense is just bad. Really expensive and bad.

Bronson Arroyo is friggin' filthy right now. That ball is moving in ways it shouldn't. Wow.

Cole Hamels, from the CF camera, is a dead ringer for Chuck Finley in his prime.
