I loved Piniella's first mound visit of the year after Dempster walked Encarnacion in the ninth. I think he said seven words to Dempster and half of them were four letters.

Brian McAnn is better than Mauer, and the most underrated receiver in the game.

And Jaret Wright has been amazingly bad. Wow. Though the defense behind him isn't too great either. And the bench the Orioles have would make the Devil Rays snicker.

And, auditioning for the role of spnited on this year's baseball threads, it's Flying Headutt.

McCann's great. He ain't better than Mauer.

The bottom line is they're both already two of the best all-around catchers in the game. They're both awesome.

The Mets will not run away from the Braves this year. Atlanta's got a great lineup, and the bullpen looks to be a lot better.

It's amazing the lack of depth on that team. They have three really promising starters in Bedard, Cabrera and Loewen...and then Wright and Trachsel, who is going to put up a 10.00 ERA. They have a pretty good lineup, and a horseshit bench.

    Good relief corps though.

    It's definitely neck and neck.

    McCann may be better.

Mauer has the est batting eye in the league, and he doesn't turn 24 for two more weeks.

Fuck, you'd think I pissed on Mauer and called him a sideburn wearing 90210 reject. Mauer ain't bad. He's pretty damn good. Take the fanboy glasses off son.

And BYH, the O's could have a fully homegrown rotation by July if Wright and Trachsel keep sucking so much. Garrett Olson, a sandwich pick a few years ago, and Hayden Penn, still only 22-23, are both at AAA. Both have very high potential.
