Headbutt, it's a running joke. No malice intended.

And Mauer is still better. Although the 90210 reject comment is solid.

    Last year:

    Mauer — 140 games, .347 avg., .429 OBP, 13 HR, 84 RBI, 264 total bases, .507 slugging%
    McCann — 130 games, .333 avg., .388 OPB, 24 HR, 93 RBI, 253 total bases, .572 slugging%

    Both are 23 years old.

Saying McCann is better might be wrong, but it's certainly not ridiculous. And considering McCann plays in the NL, where offense is harder to come by, it might be right.

In 1986, the Mets started the season by sweeping the Cardinals. In 2007, the Mets started the season by sweeping the Cardinals.

    Just sayin'.

Man, Bonds is a powerful dude. Awkward swing. Lunging. Opposite field.

The drugs these days are awesome!

Nice to see Rich Harden hasn't got hurt. Yet.

Adam LaRoche might break the strikeout record by Memorial Day...7 Ks in 12 ABs in three games.

John Maine: 7 IP 1 hit... Mets 10-0 in bottom of 9th

Mets starters through 3 games in St. Louis:

    20 IP, 2 runs, 12 hits.

    What a horseshit rotation!

Maine pitched well against the Memphis Redbirds.

He also pitched well against the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2006 playoffs...
