yes i saw where Jr. and the commish talked and Jr. said he was going to wear the number. But having an entire team, man that's something.

    Agreed, boots.

I wasn't sure what I thought when every team retired the number -- it just seemed weird -- but this is a cool idea.

Sorry, I was a little drunk and didn't comprehend your post well enough. You are right, the entire team will be intense.

As long as both of youz know what room number at Mass General to send the lime Jell-O to in June.

  5. Carlos starts tommorow according to Twinsbaseball.com. The flip side is Vazquez pitching tommorow and the Twins have battered him around for the last couple of years. A slugfest could be likely. If Carlos can pitch 5 decent innings, I will take it.
I think the Twins will be fine this weekend. I expect them to take two out of three.

As for the Orioles series, great performance overall by the team. It could have went either way the first two nights of this series. I love what the hitters did in this series. I was really encouraged with what Boof and Ramon did especially Ramon, who was great last night.

Ignoring this comment. Ignoring this comment.

I haven't noticed the Pirates' start, and I'm certainly not excited about it.

Mark Prior has taken the injury problem to a level even Kerry Wood never has reached: Prior was placed on the seven-day DL in Triple-A. Take that, Kerry.

And it was even funnier when Dempster threw ball two before Piniella even got back to the dugout.

I know he's old, but I think you still have to put Trevor Hoffman in that group. Even last year, he was more consistent than a couple of guys on that list. Street and Papelbon have yet to prove their durability in the role.

People, people, please. It's April 5, for God's sake. The Cardinals had a terrible series against the Mets but they're not out of anything. Give them time and they will still be in the NL Central race. And the Mets won ... three games. That's all. Their starting pitching looked good, a lot better than any of us thought, but be careful before declaring anything.

On the Mauer-McCann debate. I would take either, but the greatest Mauer fan would have to agree that McCann has more power. No?

And one more time, I must say that Grady Sizemore is a heck of a player with a sweet, sweet swing.
