Just in case someone hasn't said it already, I'll step up to the plate (so to speak): Astros suck.

Yeah, they brought a boatload of championships to Shea.

Yeah, that does look really bad. The question is, can anybody find pictures like that from earlier in his career?

You mean the same team that had beaten the Red Sox six of seven times before the past two games? The same team that beat the Red Sox 7-1 on opening day? Yeah, that one.

Just couldn't say six of nine? Didn't have the same ring to it? God, for the money the Red Sox have spent this year and they only go 2-1 against KC, that's awful.

Hey, the Royals are a good, young up and coming baseball team. You have to bring your best game each day in order to beat them. [/hoping to appease the baseball gods as his team prepares for a weekend series in lovely downtown Kansas City]

All right, I don't understand it.

Jeter makes two errors, but the AP ledes with A-Rod "flopping."

Oh well. Any day that the Braves and D-Rays both win is a good day.

I'm with you. Here's a couple paragraphs from near the top:

. . . the Yankees had three errors, three wild pitches and a passed ball. They've made six errors in two games -- three by Gold Glove shortstop Derek Jeter.

Rodriguez had a chance to nullify all that, but he popped out against Brian Stokes with the bases loaded to end the eighth. A-Rod, often booed at Yankee Stadium for failing to deliver in crucial situations, tossed his bat aside in disgust and muttered to himself as he waited for a teammate to bring out his cap and glove.

How is A-Rod's one at-bat more a cause for the loss than all the errors and wild pitches?

Also, Jeter was caught stealing with Abreu at the plate and holding a 2-1 count.
Also, Abreu failed to do anything with the bases loaded before A-Rod batted. It goes on and on.
Upset of the day: BYH hasn't been in here to proclaim A-Rod sucks because he doesn't go 4-for-4 with four home runs every game.
