I'm really impressed by how improved the Braves bullpen is.

Mark Redman left the game with two on and two out in the 6th, down 3-1.
The Mets have scored 8 runs since then. Damn fine pen the Braves have there!

Good. And I hope he stubbed his toe on his way down the dugout stairs. </bitter Indians fan>

And the Yankees lose another. The starting pitching question marks are starting to be answered and not in a good way for my favorite team.

Here's a little fact for you Angola:

in 27 innings against the Cards and Braves, Mets starters have given up 3 runs.

meanwhile, against the Devil Rays and Orioles no Yankees starter has given up less than 4 runs (Pavano, Pettitte, Mussina) nor made it through the 5th inning.

Where are the Derek Jeter/3 errors in 3 games(no errors during today's game) cries from Yankee nation?

I'd take the Devil Rays and Orioles' lineups over the Cardinals and Braves, at least at this point.
And let's revisit this post halfway through the season.

Major Yankees fan in my office just said to me... "This rotation is in serious trouble. I'm beginning to see the late 80s Yankees all over again."

Loewen looked pretty good. Still walked more than he fanned, though. Control has always been his problem. Still, 53 of his 89 pitches were strikes. I gotta pull for that Canuck. Plus, he roomed with my buddy in the Orioles farm system.

Oh I agree, I just don't think we should all start sucking the Mets' dicks yet.

Wow. Omar Vizquel still has it. What a double play.

I'd love to go to a SF/LA game.
