You know a team is terrible when Dmitri Young is your starting first baseman.

Fun Ian Snell fact. He was once Ian Oquendo. He took his wife's last name.

I hope the Mets pound Looper like a red-headed stepchild on Christmas for those two years as the "closer" at Shea...

I had Zach Duke on my team and figured one Pirates pitcher was enough.

Purchased MLB radio to listen on when I'm on the desk tonight. Got it just in time to listen to the bottom of the 11th between Arizona and the Rockies, mostly to see if I'd have time to squeeze it on my page. Not a bad inning to start off with, as the Rockies hit into a double play then got the tying double and a GW single (or error) to win.

    Game, set, match!!

I get a kick out of this Mets runaway talk. Let's see how they're doing in the middle of the summer with nine 40-year-olds on the roster.

    It's 1987, 1989 and 2001 all over again kiddies.

Who's saying anything about runaways? I'm hoping the Mets get into the playoffs. I think Philly's the team to beat in the division, and the Braves ain't all that far away.

Judging by the quoted text, it looks like spnited. Imagine that.

The Cardinals are like a planet out of orbit, they lack a rotation. Zing! I think their offense can put up some runs, but who is going to keep the runs off the board?

  11. Huge win tonight. These two games could have gone either way.

I am just glad they got it done.

Very encouraged about Boof's performance tonight. I think he is a 15-game winner.

The bullpen was awesome. Joe Nathan is simply awesome. He was huge in the eighth inning.

I thought the hitters did a good job frustrating Cabera.

Now, the suspense begins. Ortiz and Ponson are the next two starters. I trust Ortiz. It's Ponson I worry.

Sidney Ponson is in the Twins' rotation? Holy shit. Sucks for the Twins.
