    I think Beckett's a strong pitcher, stronger now than last year certainly. But everyone was quick to get into a lather about him this time last year.

    For a guy who proclaims himself to be team-first, Jeter had a golden opportunity to move to second or third, allowing ARod to play short. Instead, Captain Intangibles said, "It's my position." What a leader. What a Yankee.
    Clearly, playing shortstop for the New York Yankees is Derek Jeter's divine right.

    Oh, just for shits and giggles: In the 11 games the Yankees have played, Captain America has committed six errors.

    Did I miss something where ESPN isn't allowed to do an extended Baseball Tonight with cut ins to other games during rain delays and rain outs of their scheduled games? Because call me crazy, but I'd rather be watching any combination of the eight games in progress than last year's home run derby.
