There is nothing more entertaining in baseball than a full-blown Lou Piniella managerial post-game tirade. Honestly, the toughest thing about covering one was biting your lip to keep from laughing.

And the race to pickup Felix Pie begins in every keeper league in America.

And, for the record, I love, love, love that the Trib finally opened up the checkbook in the offseason. And I like Soriano and think he'll be great when the weather warms. But I wanted them to call up Pie for CF and put all the money in Carlos Lee all along.

Pie hasn't been rushed up like "K"orey Patterson. I think he's ready.

Felix Pie could have taken the mound and did a better job than Ohman, Doc. Ohman is garbage. BTW, the Cubs has been grooming Pie since last year here in Des Moines for the I-Cubs. Funny thing is that tonight versus Albquerque, it is Felix Pie t-shirt night. It looks like Pie isn't going to make it back for the game! ;D

ARod hit another HR, he has 3RBId on the game.

Let me be the 1st to say it, AROD = TRIPLE CROWN

I really have no feelings about A-Rod one way or the other. I don't really care for dynasties in any sport, but I don't really watch much American League baseball, either — THE PITCHER SHOULD HIT FOR HIMSELF, DAMNIT — other than hoping the White Sox go 0-162.

Anyways, my point is I don't root for or against A-Rod, but part of me really wants to see him set the single-season homer record, win the triple crown and lead the Yanks to a World Series title (as long as it's not against the Cubs, Braves or Reds) and then promptly have a presser demanding a trade while flipping everyone in New York a bird and telling them to fuck off.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think that would be awesome. And I love NYC in a "could visit all the time but the lack of greenspace would probably drive me crazy after a while" kind of way.

    You guys are crazy.

I hope ARod wins the Triple Crown. will make October that much more amusing.

Daisuke Matsuzaka learning all about the AL East in Toronto. Bases loaded, down 2-1 in the 4th.

Jason Smith (Who?) flies out to the wall in CF to strand three and end the threat.

And Abbott, anyone who sees thru the BS of Derek Jeter is laughing at that.
