You don't see that much anymore...was it a legit steal or was it a passed ball?

    Straight steal of home.

Runners on first and third for the Blue Jays. Pettitte was staring at the runner on first and Hill broke for home. Pettitte threw home after Hill was 2/3 of the way to the plate.

I'm sure the baseball hisotrians on the board know of people who were better, but I'd like to throw out that Omar Visquel was not only a great fielder in his time in Cleveland, but knew how to swipe home when a pitcher gave him a chance. I haven't seen him play much since he left the Tribe, but he's probably lost a step or three by now.

Last Red Sox pitcher to start 8-0, the cult hero that was El Guapo, Rich Garces.

I don't know how many times Omar Vizquel has stolen home, but it is less than 10, so I guess pitchers didn't give him that many chances.

Not only that, but the only two players from the last 40 years on that list are Rod Carew (to be expected) ... and Paul Molitor.

Babe Ruth also had 10 steals of home. Fascinating.

Indeed on Carew - with 17 no less. And how about Lou Gehrig with 15! And, of course, one of my all-time favorites - Pete Reiser - with seven in one season. That man was reckless.

    Josh Beckett, baby.

My fantasy teams are back to riding him like a Tiajuana whore.

And the Armando Benitez meltdown begins.

    Balks Reyes to second.
