The Nats broadcast team - which includes Ray Knight filling in for Don Sutton - is giving LaRussa the biggest slob job in the history of the world. It is sickening. In the process, of course, they are knocking the media.

Time to find the remote and hit the mute button.

Twins and Jays will play 13.

Matt Guerrier might be the only arm Minnesota has left.

Don Sutton's on the Nats team now? Had no idea.

Did Ray Knight beat up the Cards broadcast team, just because?

    It's bizarre to listen to.

Yeah, they got rid of Tom Paciorek who was actually a decent analyst once he stopped screaming. GET UP GET UP GET OUT.
Bob Carpenter I can take or leave. Sutton I like. Ray Knight is Paciorek light. Last night, Levale Speigner reaches on a strikeout/passed ball. The throw to first is bad and Knight yells GO GO GO. Later, Dmitri Young botches a line drive (imagine that) and then hesitates before throwing anywhere. Knight is yelling THROW IT HOME THROW IT HOME. So loud that Young must have heard him because he threw home when he had no chance. Easy outs at two bases and he throws home.
Then you had the whole LaRussa hummer.

Charlie Slowes and Dave Jageler do the radio. Not bad. I like Jageler better. Slowes is a yeller. Every fly ball is high volume. Carpenter and Sutton on TV. Knight and Johnny Holladay do a pre- and post-game show, both of which are bad. Debbi Taylor is the sideline reporter. Her interviews are horrific. But they showed a couple canned features she'd done during the rain delay last night and they were very good. So I give her points for that and hope her interview skills improve.

At least you don't have Don's dopey son Daron, who was the Brewers' TV play-by-play for three years. I believe he moved on to Arizona. Good riddance.

And Ray Knight? Blech. Must be a Jim Bowden thing.

It is - he did a slob job on Jim during a recent home game.
Didn't Bowden fire him in Cincy?

Nice, nice, nice guy - at least he was the few times I dealt with him. Nice doesn't make for a good broadcaster.

My favorite thing is to listen to the Reds broadcast whenever Bowden is in the news. Marty Brennaman slams Bowden in the way only Brennaman can.

Paciorek spent too much time around Harrelson.

I liked Bob Carpenter when he was with ESPN.

    I like Jon Sciambi.

What is your issue with Johnny Holliday, Moddy? Every time I've heard a Maryland broadcast, he's been outstanding.

    Nats baseball isn't Maryland basketball.

He's not that bad. Remember, he partners with Knight. I said the shows are bad, not that Holladay is bad.
