Hoos can't buy a basket. Offense completely out of sorts. They can't even make a layup.

UVa pulled it out 50-47. Erased a ten point deficit with 11 min to go. Anderson carried them down the stretch.

Down the stretch you could tell why each team had the record they do. UVa just kept doing what they do, never panicked and shots eventually started falling. The first possession after UVa took the lead Tech came down and rushed a guarded 3.

No doubt who was going to win at that point.

Yep, but it sure looked like UVa was about to shit the bed in those first nine minutes of the second half.

This game, and the Davidson match during the Xmas holidays, shows me that UVa has a lot of poise. I'd rather see them put away a lot of teams early, but games like today toughens them up for the stretch they have coming (which includes Duke and Louisville), and prepares them for the ACC and NCAA tourneys.

I just hope they don't have an Oregon State moment like they had over 30 years ago. I remember where I was when the Hoos lost that game - I was at my big-titted girlfriend's house. She made me mad by rooting against the Hoos, but oh, those tits!!!

Perhaps, but you can count on Syracuse being a bubble team or worse and a non-factor in its conference race every few years. Boeheim's longevity is incredible, but I'm wondering if despite the 960+ wins if he's not closer to Rick Barnes than Coach K. The big difference, of course, is that Boeheim got his title with Carmello and Barnes didn't with Durant.

Speaking of K, does anybody ever surpass him? I don't see anybody in the game right now that will. Bill Self, at 52, has more victories at that age Krzyzewski or anybody, but I don't think he'll coach long enough to get 1,000 and Krzyzewski's not done racking up wins. Is there any way Boeheim sticks around a few years longer than K to pass him? Shaka Smart might have a shot if he keeps it up for 30 more years, but I think it's only going to get more difficult for coaches to win 28-30 games a year and it's already pretty damn hard.

FoxSports1 has gotten its money's worth out of that Big East contract. The league has been a ton of fun to watch this year.

Did Beilein sleep with someone at ESPN. My god, I can't turn on ESPN anymore without seeing a Michigan game.
