Running NCAA men's tournament thread 2012

Someone at Big 12 headquarters let the curse out of the box a little too soon.

 

I so, so, so wanted to refrain from laughing at that.

But I failed.

 

Sounds as if Bonas should have had the ball back, down two with 26 seconds to play, when an FSU player stepped inbounds while in-bounding the ball after a make. Wasn't called.

 

That call gets missed all the time and it drives me nuts.

 

In Big 12 country some of my favorite quotes:

"SEC your ass later!"

"Stick a Norfolk in em!"

"M-I-Z O-U-T!"

 

It's been a terrible weekend for the referees. Alabama's Trevor Releford was fouled in the act of shooting a potential game-winning three-pointer. Missouri should have received the ball when a Norfolk State player caught the tipped in-bounds pass without establishing his position. A Florida State player made a late in-bounds with his feet on the line. Syracuse-North Carolina Asheville was one endless debacle.
