That's just like the Syracuse game -

Yes, it was a blown call on the inbounds play.....but Syracuse made more plays than Asheville and even if the ball was awarded to Asheville, they still trailed by 3 and even if they tied the game, Syracuse would have still had the ball with a chance to win.

Doug McDermott has impressed the hell out of me at times this year. As has Nate Wolters, Caspar Ware, Wendell McKines.

C.J. McCollum -- and I swear I believed this in November -- takes a back seat to nobody in the mid-majors.

I had no problem with the intentional foul.

And, fine, then blow the whistle on every hand check. Every "battling for the rebound" underneath. Every sort of contact, whether it helps/hinders/remains neutral each play. Blow it. At 2.8 seconds with 12:08 left in the first half. Call the entire 40 minutes by the letter of the law.

Lord, please tell me you don't actually think this is the same USF that Russell played for.

Isn't Larry Bird's alma mater getting ready to play Kentucky tomorrow?

I'd say I'm more than a casual college hoops fan and I'm sure there are more like me that pay attention throughout the year.

And I'm not saying those two lane violations aren't against the rules BUT I can't remember the last time I saw that called this season or last season or whenever. And now it happens twice in huge games on back to back days and they were calls that no one would have noticed if they hadn't been called.

I hope someone with time can pick out a random game or two from the season where that happened two or three times and the refs did nothing. Because it just seems like they are decided to start calling it out of nowhere otherwise.

No, I think he's saying you can't call the University of South Florida "USF" because it's not the real "USF."

If so, I disagree, but it's not a matter worthy of back-and-forth.

I can understand younger people looking at South Florida as USF since San Fran hasn't done much on the big stage in the last 30 years.

That's weird because Rick Stansberry just retired from Magic Johnson's former school.

    Of course not.

Look, they still play basketball. Who knew? They actually won 20 games including beating Gonzaga.
