In addition to Gee's list, Robinson and Zeller will be a lottery picks and Taylor is a borderline first rounder.

With guys like Robinson and Green we're seeing that just because some guys weren't NBA ready at 18 or 19 doesn't mean they can't develop into NBA players after three or four years of college.

Not sure I agree on any of these. Jae Crowder and Draymond Green are 6-6, not particularly athletic power forwards, and they're also old for rookies. And Green's had weight issues. Scoop Jardine may not be drafted at all.

Whether or not these guys are going to be NBA players is more an argument for why college basketball has dipped in quality.

My point was just that the argument that VCU, George Mason and Butler win tournament games because they have a bunch of upperclassmen while the likes of Kansas and UNC have a bunch of one-and-done kids might not hold water.

Then your point is wrong. Kansas and UNC don't have any one-and-done kids. Aside from John Calipari's teams, there is no "one-and-done epidemic." The players who are only in school for one year are mostly the same guys who would have never attended college in the first place.

That is what I was trying to say. The one and done epidemic is over blown and not the reason mid majors are having success.

So I know Duke is out of the Tournament, but I don't know where else to bring this up. On sports radio here I heard a little while ago that Coach K's back problem a few years ago was "really a nervous breakdown."

    Had never heard that.

Is that pretty much out there?

UNC losing Marshall is so sad. Just watched yesterday some of UNC and Marshall could be my favorite player to watch in college basketball. He's so smooth with the ball in his hands and he knew exactly when to pass the ball and when to pull up and hit that jumper; as PG, that's a very fine line.

Hard to say. I think his health problems that year and Urban Meyer's at Florida post-Tebow are vaguely similar.

It's worth noting that K's back was so bad he could barely move from his seat for much of 1998-1999, but he stuck it out that entire year. That team was...a wee bit better than the 94-95 unit.

Seriously. It might have been a "nervous breakdown" if you define that phrase as "nervous at having a shitty team and a losing season."

    Gonzaga's tournament history

Gonzaga didn't quite repeat the magical '99 run, but backed it up with solid performances in 2000 and 2001. Since then? Your highlights are:

    - Bitching about a low seed in 2002, then promptly proving their own detractors right
    - That really good game against Arizona in 2003 that they lost
    - A supposed Final Four contender getting its doors blown off in 2004
    - HEART! BREAK! CITY!

    ... and that's it.

I'm sure this has been noted elsewhere, but apparently Bob Knight refuses to utter the word "Kentucky" on-air:
