The emotions of teenagers and the fact that the 3-point line has changed the game and can be an equalizers are not excuses, they are reasons these upsets can happen.

That's why the tournament should be a best of three format from the Sweet 16 on.

Northern Iowa and GMU were better in those respective two-hour windows on those particular days, which is all that matters.

Winning the best of three would be three. Winning two of three should be called the better of three.

No, it isn't all that matters because it meant shitty teams who had no business being in the Elite Eight/Final Four were there and that made it a lot less interesting to watch.

It'd then be about as popular as the Women's NCAA championship.

Sorry, but everyone in college basketball has access to the 3-point shot and everyone in college basketball is dealing with 18-23 year olds. Saying the 3-point shot is why UConn can lose to George Mason is a silly excuse (I'm not saying you said that specifically, just making a point). UConn, Kansas, Duke, UNC and all the other powerhouses can shoot the three as well.

And you can argue that a George Mason making it to the Final Four resulted in a boring game, but it is not possible to argue they didn't belong there. They did belong there. They won four games and weren't given anything. They didn't win by fluky plays or bad officiating. They earned their spot.

There have been some shitty Final Four games between powerhouses, too. Florida slaughtered second-seeded UCLA. UNC slaughtered Michigan St. a couple of years ago. Why is it that MSU deserved to be there, but Butler did not? The Spartans aren't exactly known for their exciting brand of basketball, either.

Some years are more exciting than others.

2006 UCONN wasn't a case of shit just not falling right. That team, albeit incredibly talented, was a communal headcase the entire year. They were due to get upended by some nobody who gave more of a crap. (Remember how lousy they looked against the 16 seed in the opening round?)

That UConn team frustrated the hell out of me. As you said, you just knew some higher seed was going to come along and beat them. Such a waste of talent.

You know what they should do to improve the tournament?

    NOTHING!!!

    It's bad enough they've expanded from 64 to 68.

DON'T FUCK WITH THE PERFECT SPORTING EVENT!!!

OK, now that's just fucking stupid. I mean, it's your opinion and all, but it's a fucking stupid one.
