They probably should have scored another one, when they ruled Holmes' catch incomplete.

It is all relative. Compared to how they looked most of the regular season, that actually was pretty good. But I'm not the one arguing about the Steelers' offense being good. Zag is.

Oz raises a good point. I thought that should have been a catch since Holmes took two steps with the ball in his hands before lunging for the end zone. They also had Sweed's drop, which should have been a touchdown.

Actually, Flacco did come up with a big drive to tie the first game late in regulation.

I'm sorry if you don't like the fact that all of the statistics back my argument and not yours.

You're right that I wanted to see a completion there. I thought it looked like two steps (a "football move") before he stretched the ball out, trying to get the touchdown, which would make it a fumble when he hit the ground.

Re: Holmes touchdown pass, if the defensive back doesn't fall down, it's still a complete pass. When you watch the angle from behind the play, you see Roethlisberger threw it to the back shoulder, where the defender probably wouldn't have been able to make a play on it because he was outside Holmes and the pass went to the inside.

If Flacco wins a Super Bowl he will have to get serious consideration for the HOF

Exactly. I underestand what the official was looking at, but Holmes had the ball and took two steps with it before the lunge.

McGahee is stilling looking both ways for Sunday and wondering why he keeps hearing John Fogarty sing Down On The Corner in his head.

I did not see either game but did catch the highlights. Am I wrong in thinking that Clark should be fined for the hit on McGahee? Clark launched himself at McGahee and it looked to be a helmet-to-helmet hit.

  10. You missed about four pages of discussion of that earlier, 'beat.

Yes you are wrong in your interpretation.

Agreed, but it still wouldn't shock me given some of the hits that have drawn penalties and/or fines this season.
