Wrong sport. You pulled out the files from when the NBA comes back, since that's the only sport ESPN REALLY cares about. :)

CNBC reported that ESPN's losses would have been modest, due to sheer inventory.

NBC's, with primetime dates and limited opportunity for ads (no doubleheaders), would have been the hardest hit.

The lockout just ended and I'm already sick of Chris Berman.

Why is that weird? It sounds like they just guaranteed they'll never have to deal with this crap again.

I'm a huge baseball fan, but even I'm ready for football to come back. You just knew they couldn't stay away. Having no games affects more than just owners and players' bottom lines.

Da Man: One law of sports CBAs is that they have unintended consequences. Human ingenuity will lead one or both sides to figure out ways to game the deal the other side finds onerous. But they have agreed to no way to remedy those problems when they come up. Or maybe they have, and it's in the fine print.

T-Jack to the Seahawks. Enjoy, Seattle.

    McNabb to the Vikings..maybe?

Between the additions of Tavaris and Matt Leinart (along with Charlie Whitehurst), I think it's pretty clear that Pete Carroll has his sights set on Andrew Luck.
