I have a sinking feeling that Orton may stay in Denver.

as long as vick stays happy, iggles CLEANED up here. cards overpayed mightily, as qb-desperate teams are wont to do. now, of course, i kolb becomes all-that, terrific. but if he's scott mitchell, hoo-boy.

terrific deal for philly regardless. rich get richer in the nfl, per usual. the consistently strong teams and the up-and-down teams are what they are for a reason.

To me it depends on who Philly gets to back Vick up. I can't see Vick playing 16 games

This free agency period is lunacy. A lot of teams are going to regret decisions made mostly in haste. And don't say they've been scheming for months. Nobody knew how other suitors would react or how much antes would need to be upped. Play your hand in 2011, save your money and wait for less boisterous waters. This frenzy feeding is insane.

The twitter world was correct this time. Ochocinco is a Patriot.

Titans release Vince Young, who is supposedly looking at the Eagles:

    Don't they already have a "Michael Vick"-type?

I'm not so sure the Philly/Cards trade is as lopsided as people are making it out to be. If Vick starts 16 games, maybe. But he's in his 30s, plays a style that leads to injuries, and prison years aren't all that great on the body, so he's likely to miss some time. Philly's going to need a good second option.

DRC is a good, not great corner. A 2nd round pick is not a huge giveaway for a starting quarterback.

The other option for the Cardinals was Kyle Orton, who has already been traded once and is on the block again... so the Broncos can go with Tebow and Quinn.

The Cards had to make some kind of deal, and this one doesn't strike me as crazy.

I like how the Bears keep taking away receiving options from Cutler. I hope they have something planned that involves adding people to the roster who get paid to catch footballs for a living.

The Cardinals are idiots. DRC for Kolb straight up was a bad deal. Adding a pick is lunacy. I'm seriously debating whether I want to bother with football at all this year or if I should just count the days to hockey season. I'm seriously leaning toward the latter. My football team blows.

Since we're apparently in the business of making stupid trades, what do the Bears want to offer for Fitzgerald, especially now that he's gone after the season?
