I've heard that, too. I'm sure Roethlisberger would be happy. At this point, why not add one more asshole to the collection?

The bane of fantasy football owners, Willis McGahee, has joined the Broncos. Meanwhile, the Elway-led front office looks to have overplayed its hand, as the latest reports have the Orton-to-Miami deal now dead. Not sure I believe that, but it's not good PR for the Broncos when a team that really needs a QB and really needs to win this year spurns your advances.

Also, it's been reported that the Dolphins have agreed to terms with Matt Moore, ostensibly to compete with Henne. Maybe they've decided to pass on Orton.

Edwards is Overrated. Easy to make the occasional big play with Jared Allen and the Williamses drawing all the attention.

    See my previous post, Beaker.

According to Michael Lombardi's Twitter account, 49ers are out of Asomugha race and it's down to the Jets and Cowboys. I'm thinking Dallas wins that one. When Jerry gets fixed on a target he'll spend whatever it takes, and the state income tax (8 pct versus zero) usually plays big in these situations.

If it does end up being the Jets, wow is that a nice secondary. The only person who won't like it is Darrelle Revis because people will see that he isn't the best cornerback.

I hope we all remember that the Jets are located in New Jersey, not New York, when doing our state tax comparisons. I know New Jersey rates are high, too.
PS: LTL, I believe Revis is superior to Asomugha. Asomugha covers exceptionally well. Revis changes games.

On NJ, fair point. As to Revis vs. Asomugha, agree to disagree. Asomugha's impact has been difficult to quantify mostly because the whole defense, and in particular whatever fast-40-time smurf Al Davis chose to put on the other side, has been so woeful that there has been no reason to ever throw Nnamdi's way. I know that sounds like elementary JV-squad reasoning, but in the case of Asomugha and the Raiders, it really was true because that's how bland their defense has been. When he's in a setting where he can turn a defense from good to great, I think he'll change a lot of opinions.

Bears fans have to be orgasmic with the addition of Roy Williams.

Cutler desparately needs a guy who can consistently catch a football and not be a over-dramatic bitch.

    Roy can do neither.

And with Forte holding out, this may be it for ye olde Lovie.

Oh; and how many years does DeSean Jackson have left? If this is his last year, and if he feels like he's getting fucked over by Philly...ride it out for this season, and take your chances on the free agent market.......probably make more on the open than you will in Phillalauria.

Lovie Smith is the Rasputin of NFL coaches. Williams would upgrade that receiving corps. Take that for what it's worth.

and the rest of the AFC west just stood up and cheered.

Yes, Orton will throw for 4 TD's and 400 yards a game, but it's the nut-cutting interceptions with 4 minutes left in a 41-37 game that Kyle Orton exactly who he is today.

OK, Steelers fanbois, is Matt Spaeth a good blocking TE? Bears signed him, so I hope he can help with the lack of protection.
