Every game I watched Kevin Kolb play, he look both terrified and terrible. That contract is a joke. If I agree to give Andy Reid one of my kidneys when his fails (and it will clearly fail eventually) I wonder if he'd pretend I was great QB behind closed doors for six months of off-season workouts so I could get $22 million thrown at me by a front office with zero clue and zero plan.

Imagine how Jake Locker feels now about not leaving early.

He could be another Rob Johnson or another Scott Mitchell, but I think there's just as good a chance that he's a Hasselbeck or Schaub. Then again, Hasselbeck and Schaub each had head coaches who were good at developing quarterbacks. I don't know if Kolb will have that in Zona, but he learned from one of the best in Reid.

Eagles just signed Cullen Jenkins. It's going to be fun to watch Philly crash and burn this season.

Philly is usually very shrewd about which players it gets rid of, but adding players at this rate is Daniel Snyderesque and almost never works.

I can't think of a single team that added a bunch of free agents and then won the Super Bowl. I like the Asomugha move. He's a rare and elite player. They overpaid for Babin and Jenkins. Vince Young is low-risk, high reward move.

At some point teams need to realize that the teams that win Super Bowls do it with players they draft and develop. Look at the Packers last year, look at the Steelers...

I don't know. It might be overthinking it. Fact is, they upgraded at a hell of a lot of positions.

At least one and probably more of the players the Eagles signed are going to be disappointments, whether it be due to injuries or just not performing. And these free agent sprees can handcuff you for years if they don't work out. The only time I can recall a team spending a lot and being successful was the 18-1 Patriots team.

iggles are attacking as if jeffery lurie has one year to live. talk about going 'all-in.'

always good when a team from philly becomes 'the team you love to hate.' and espn is felating vick at an incredible rate. he's the 'rex ryan' of players, according to the world-wide leader: every player in the nfl is longing to play with him! amazing... ::) ::) ::)

Moss wasn't a free agent that year. They traded for Welker too. They might have had a couple free agent signings, but it was nothing like what Philly is doing this year.

There are exceptions, but defensive linemen over 30 who get a huge payday almost never seem to produce like they did before they got their big money. I'm not saying Jenkins is Haynesworth, but I'll be stunned if he's as good in Philly as he was in Green Bay and in Green Bay, he was never more than just a good player.
