But they will still have Jimmy Clausen.

The Eli Manning-Philip Rivers trade netted the Chargers an extra No. 1 and a No. 3 to swap the No. 4 player taken in the draft for the No. 1 player taken in the draft.

I'll bet to trade up to get Andrew Luck will require at least an additional No. 1 pick.

Is Andrew Luck the reason why the Broncos have suddenly decided they love Kyle Orton after trying to trade him? And 21's post was just awesome.

If the Broncos wanted the first pick, Tebow would start. The Luck/Barkley/Landry Jones sweepstakes begins with Tavares Jackson, Beck/Grossman and Fitzpatrick's of the league.

If Andy Dalton's starting for the Bengals, throwing to God Knows Whom, they will be in the running.

This kid will have one out of every four games played this season looking at Lewis, Reed, Suggs, Ngata or Harrison and Polamalu.

Poor fucker doesn't have a chance. Seriously. It almost isn't fair to him, and all he has is a rookie and Shipley. Maybe a decent TE.

That Luck actually had Stanford in a bowl game last year should have removed all comparisons to Elway ...

That's funny... Luck also played for a great coach, while Elway got Paul Wiggin and may have played a season under the guy who replaced Bill Walsh.

Stanford football was garbage from when Walsh left until Dennis Green arrived.

Oh, I know. I'm not disputing Elway's greatness as a pro. Still, the fact that Stanford was 20-23 and never played in a bowl game during his four years should be a knock against him in the same way Peyton Manning's failings against Florida are a knock against him.

Granted, there weren't 30+ bowls when Elway was at Stanford, but I think they had a winning record once during the time he was there and this was in the days when 6-5 didn't get you anywhere close to a bowl (The good old days if you ask me...).

It did take the most famous play in college football history to keep Elway out of a bowl game though...

As far as Manning goes, I think Tennessee had comparable to superior talent to Florida when Manning was there, but Florida had the much better coach. It was pretty funny though to watch the Vols finally win it all the year after Manning left.

Didn't Elway play for his dad?
