On no planet is Orton worth a second-rounder. I don't think he's worth a No. 3. I think a No. 4 would be about right.

I've watched way too many Orton games. He doesn't suck suck, but he does suck.

If that's all you would give up for a supposed decent QB then he sucks.

    Slightly, once.

    He is now considerably overrated.

About two more weeks of the current shit, he's going to be incredibly overrated.

This is unbelievable to me. Maybe in Fantasy football he is.

Yes, I think that's a big part of it. He puts up very good numbers once his team has fallen behind. But he makes some really boneheaded throws in close games.

I'd have to think about whether he's the most underrated. It's usually pretty hard to be underrated as a starting QB in the NFL.

I think Josh Freeman is underrated, obviously he's on a different level than Orton though... :D

Yeah, that's the Alex Smith syndrome. If the game is over, he starts playing great... I don't think that's the case with Orton. If he was just one of those guys who chucks it long all the time, he would have a lot more picks than he does... He's almost 2 to 1 in TDs to INTs which is pretty rare in the NFL.

UM, no, mcdaniels was not yet the 'red-hot hc candidate' you recall him being. most of the nfl thought he was too young and lacking thr experience to be convinced he was much more than a belichick creation. and given how poorly others from the belichick tree have fared, there is a natural cynicism around the league regarding those falling from the belichick tree.

Thank you... He was a colossal reach at the time to be a HC. And then he came in and started making demands like he was Belichick and most of his players revolted.
