Sure, it was a preseason game but the Broncos-Cowboys game was pretty fun there at the end.

Any coaching staff which is collectively queer for Sexy Rexy (in the professional sense, of course) is difficult to take seriously.

Here is the thing about Orton, and I say this having watching him regularly when he was with the Bears: He CANNOT throw the ball to the outer third of the field unless it's some kind of comeback under 10 yards. He absolutely doesn't have the arm for it. He can't make the kind of throws that beat good teams. He's actually very smart with the ball, and he knows when to take his shots, which leads to a decent (but maybe a little deceiving) Yards Per Attempt, but every defensive coordinator knows what Orton can and cannot do, and that make him fairly easy to game-plan. Romo, for instance, averages 8.0 yards gained per attempt for his career. Orton was 7.3 this past year, but his career average is 6.4. You can't win consistently with that. (Don't blame his two years running the Bears offense either. Just watch him against a good defense this year.)

He's not an outright game manager, and he won't make some of the dumb mistakes Romo does (like taking sacks) he can't make special plays. If you get into 3rd-and-7s with Orton frequently, you're totally screwed. (Unless it's in the second half, when you're already down two TDs, and a team is playing prevent defense.)

Or from his own well-established pool of racial stereotype beliefs.

    Are you Arizona's general manager?

What in heaven's name has Kevin Kolb done to earn that sort of respect? Two good games in his NFL career?

Just like the old Todd Collins story. "Inside talk" says the guy's a quarterback. Well, let's wait until the guy plays some quarterback.

they were both available in the offseason one couldn't fetch a 2nd round pick, one was traded for a starting cornerback AND a second rounder. You tell me who the NFL market deems to be the better QB if not this year at least going forward.

    Arizona overpaid for him. Period.

Must be the case, McNabb is beyond reproach.

Yet they had the chance to get orton for a second and passed. Maybe they overpayed for him but given the chance, I'd bet you most if not all teams would take Kolb and his potential over Orton. Kolb's upside is much higher than Orton and his noodle arm.

I don't think there is a single NFL GM who would take Orton over Kolb.
